I’ve started carrying my camera again. With sights like this everywhere, I want to make sure my OIAA file is well-stuffed. Behold, the common home of St. Clare of Assisi Episcopal Church and Temple Beth Emeth. Well, it’s not like they need the place on the same day.

When I was growing up in the 50s/60s in Palo Alto, CA, our synagogue shared a building with the local Presbyterian church, whose pastor lived next door to us.
We used a large secondary sanctuary, which had a stained glass window showing Jesus over the altar..which looked like a black circle unless they turned the little light on in back of it.
Needless to say, it was turned off when we were using it on Friday nights and Saturday mornings. I still like to say that I was Bat Mitzvah in the sight of Jesus, although that is slightly inaccurate.

Only in Ann Arbor? Not true. There was church/temple sharing in Bexley/East Columbus for @ 20 years, and now there is the same in New Albany (OH). Point is, I don’t think interfaith building sharing is really that uncommon.
