Of all the long-term same-sex couples I know, I can’t think of any who have married or had a civil union.

I think of all the times over the years I’ve said I know what I have, I don’t need the likes of politicians to tell the world it’s legit. But seeing those images brought tears to my eyes. As they should anyone with a heart.
