Can’t talk now…

…houseguests! Updates later, although widely scattered, through Monday.

In the meantime:

Lance and Sheryl, sittin’ in a tree, noticing their amazing resemblance to one another. This is Mick and Bianca all over again.

Richard Cohen on suicide bombing.

Enjoy the rest of this broiling-hot week. If you can. I’ll be around, just not reliable.

The catty response to the Sheryl/Lance photo is to ask if she looks more like him or his mother. She is about halfway between them in age. Meow.

for her, the phrase “every day is a winding road” is just a lyric in a song she sings.

for him, that phrase is hard, hard reality — for the rest of this tour de france this year.

btw, his bio it’s not about the bike is solid. i’d recommend you take it out of your local library to read it. it won’t be a waste of time.

I can’t believe Lance fell for that talentless skank backup singer. I hope she doesn’t suck the life out of him, too.

They DO look a lot alike, just like Brad and Jen looked A LOT alike!

Ditto on the opinion of Sheryl. I admire Lance Armstrong a great deal, but I have to wonder about his taste in women. Not that it’s any of my business.

Hey, she dated Eric Clapton for a while too.

dang, the cattiness of the comments — and mostly by commenters with female names!

what — are you all jealous? i thought feminism was supposed to get ride of this women as competitors for men mentality.

mary, i admire lance because he more or less came back from something like hell with the cancers he had. it’s in the book. i recommend it greatly.

I admire him too. Ashley and I don’t admire Sheryl Crow, and Ashley is male.

Notice I always label my catty remarks. Maybe you should take that as an indication that I don’t take this stuff all that seriously. Lance can date whomever he likes. I just think Sheryl Crow is a mediocre performer who has a history of associating with those who can help her career.

    Ding!

    Exactly what Mary said.

    Congrats Lance.
