Yes, when it rains, it really does pour. Sunday noonish we were hit by a moderate thunderstorm. An apparent nearby lightning strike sent a power surge through the house, and the cable was the victim. We lost all our premium channels (no HBO! On Sunday?!) and our modem, so.
Welcome to Panerablogging.
Or rather, welcome to not much Panerablogging, because I’ve been offline a while. But:
No one tells a story like Jon Carroll. Here, another fine one, this time about interviewing Groucho Marx.
The cable guy comes tomorrow. Pray for us.

Am pryaing for the restoration of your cable. Return the favor by praying for the appearance of cable in my area. There’s more to TV than Jeopardy! and I’d like to see it again someday.

You missed a pretty good SFU. I won’t give it away.

I was on the phone with the t.v. muted during the first half hour of SFU. I’ll catch it another night this week. I did see the opening death, however. How DO the writers keep coming up with those situations?? I’m fed up with Nate, however. The man is never satisfied.
