Happy birthday.

I’m getting one of those cupcakes. Oh yes, it will be mine.

Couldn’t let the day get away without sending out big ol’ 15th-birthday wishes to the loudest member of our household. The online dog-year calculators all say he’s now a centenarian in people time. This weekend we go visit his Uncle Charlie, who shares both his birthday and his fondness for animal flesh. They’ll get along like aces.

So, do these “online dog-year calculators” do anything other than multiply by 7?

A few do complicated math where the first few years count as X and later years count as Y, and sometime there’s even a breed differential, but I couldn’t find any today. The point is, 15 is pretty old for any dog, although admittedly a lot less for a smaller breed.

Happy B-D from a fellow food loving Jack Russel. Sandra Day O’ turned twelve in Feb. Still a Hoosier and moving as fast as the first, well maybe the fifth birthday. Kudos to you Squiggy–you look marvelous!

Here’s the dog age calculator the factors in breed and size:

According to this, Max is a puppy. Huge puppy.
