Excuses, excuses.

I’ve had some difficulty finding my feet this morning, and now I gots some stuff to do. In the meantime, someone asked what I meant by painterly composition in “No Country for Old Men.” How about this?

Kind of conventional, I know, and criminally cropped from its widescreen aspect ration, but you get the idea. (I was working from the online trailer.)

Off to have my hair highlighted, pick up antibiotics for the dog and harass foot-draggers by e-mail. Oh, and MichaelJ, you absolutely MUST intrude again. I don’t know what we’d do without you.

    I was posting this below, while Nancy was publishing, but since Nance put in a vote for mj, I thought I would up the post to this thread too….

    michaelj, I think you should stay. It’s a free country. And if we all don’t like a particular opinion, we can just make a pigpile and have fun feeling all uppity.

    And the only other sport besides football that funds everything else is basketball.

    Did anyone see that crazy Ravens/Pats game last night? Though I am from B’more, I am not a Ravens (aka Stolen Browns) fan. But I was actually rooting for them at the end. Which is probably why they lost.

    I appreciate chaos and its place in the world. What’s left of the artist in me sees what Michaelj is making out of his chaos, and applauds it.

    The Coen brothers have given us many good quotes. I know I’ve cited it before, but “yodas and shit,” is one I use regularly.
